Hello! My name is Luc NeJame and I am currently majoring in Behavioral and Cognitive Neuroscience at the University of Florida. I am the Undergraduate Lab Manager and an undergraduate researcher for the Florida Social Cognition and Emotion Lab. I am also an undergraduate researcher for the Social Science Collaboratory, Social Decisions Lab, and Life Story Lab.

My primary research focus is transformative experience! I am specifically interested in the causes and outcomes of transformative experiences such as near-death experiences, self-transcendent experiences, mystical experiences, and spiritual awakenings. I am also particularly interested in studying how physical spaces and sociocultural factors influence people's experience of awe. It is my hope to bridge psychological research paradigms and philosophically minded inquiry throughout my career. My research draws from fields like existential psychololgy, social psychology, religious studies, emotions research, cognitive science, sociology, and ethnography.
